GMHSCP and NHS England have played an integral role in bringing public awareness to communities and Health and Social Care Professionals, the positive impact of healthy and creative activities in communities. Andy Burnham, GM Mayor, is fronting the pioneer initiatives across the region to encourage communities and HCPs to embrace alternative approaches to keeping people well, connected and thriving in their daily lives - a More Than Medicine approach.
Brave Day have been a collaborator in documenting the projects across the region and helping to increase awareness of the benefits of ‘social prescribing’ and ‘art for wellbeing’.

Cartwheel Arts. Action Together. Health as a Social Movement (HASM).
Brave Day was commissioned by several arts and health organisations to document different events and activities across the Greater Manchester Region that were contributing to a social movement in arts, health and wellbeing.
The videos show how many hundreds of charities, organisations and grassroots community groups are helping communities to better manage their own health and wellbeing, bringing people together, sharing skills and creating a sense of belonging.
